The Rules of SOS
Saturday, June 27, 2009 13:42A grid of nxn squares (where n>=3) is drawn in the playing area. The first player places an S or an O into one of the squares upon the board, at which point it is then the second players turn. The second player has the option of placing an S or an O in an empty square.
The object of the game is for each player, on their turn, to create the sequence S-O-S, either diagonally, horizontally, or vertically, among the connected squares as many times as they can.
If a players suceeds in making an SOS, that player gets a point and immediately takes another turn, and continues to do so, until no new SOS sequence was created on their turn. Otherwise, players alternate turns after each move.
Once the grid has been filled up, the player with the most SOS sequences is the winner. If none have been made or both parties made the same number of sequences then it is a draw.
